This petition seeks a prayer for implementation of an order dated 11.08.2026 passed by the Assistant Engineer of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (‘MCD’) whereby, the property in question has been ordered to be demolished. 3. Learned counsel for the respondent-MCD, on instructions, has stated that prior to passing of the said order of demolition dated 11.08.2026 an application was made by the occupier/owner of the building for regularisation of the existing structure at Plot No.4, Village Sikdar Put, Chajjupur Colony, Shahdara, Delhi and the said application is being processed. The letter dated 11.08.2026 has been tendered to the Court, which is taken on record. 4. A perusal of the said letter dated 11.08.2026 reveals that the occupier/owner of the building was required to remove the deficiencies of the application for regularisation, pointed out in the said letter, within fifteen days, however, the said period of fifteen days appears to have expired. 5. Learned counsel for the respondent-MCD, however, states the application seeking regularisation moved by the occupier/owner of the building shall be considered and decided with expedition, say within a period of three weeks. 6. Accordingly, we dispose of the instant writ petition with a direction to dispose of the application made by the occupier/owner of the building seeking regularisation of certain constructions/structures within the aforesaid period of three weeks. And depending on the outcome of the regularisation proceedings, the respondent-MCD shall take further action which may be warranted under law. 7. The action to be taken, after decision on the prayer for regularisation of the existing structure, shall be expedited and completed within two weeks from the date the said application is disposed of. 8.
