The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.15,00,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs only), sanctioned to the Petitioner (Application I.D. No.OV2019122524) under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevena’ Overseas Scholarship scheme, as illegal and arbitrary. 2. The Petitioner had applied for financial assistance under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevena’ Overseas Scholarship scheme for the academic year 2019-2020 and the same was allotted with Application I.D. No.OV2019122524. After due verification, Respondent-Authorities sanctioned Rs.15,00,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs only) in favour of the Petitioner for pursuing Master of Science (Computer Science) Course at University of Missouri, Kansas City, United Statesin two (02) installments. Though, the Petitioner had completed herMaster of Science (Computer Science) Course, the financial assistance as

promised to the Petitioner was not disbursed to her. Hence, the present Writ Petition is filed. 3. LearnedAssistant Government Pleader for Social Welfare submits that the application of the Petitioner would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the Petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts. 4. Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition is
disposed of, with the following directions:- (i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of the Petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order. (ii) In the event, the claim of the Petitioner is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to the Petitioner within a further period of eight (08) weeks. (iii) There shall be no order as to costs.
