In terms of the aforesaid instructions, an amount of ₹2,79,680/- has been deposited in bank account of the petitioner. Learned Counsel for the petitioner has prayed for grant of interest on the said amount, however, this Court is of the considered view that as the petitioner's husband has expired in the 2016 and the petitioner has approached this Court, recently in the month of May 2026, and on account of the endeavor made by the learned counsel 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? for respondent-University, the amount stands paid to the petitioner, this Court is not entertaining the request of the petitioner for grant of interest.
