JUSTICE R DEVDAS ORAL ORDER The grievance of the petitioner is that despite an order being passed by this Court in W.P.No.12121/2023 dated 25.07.2023 directing the respondent - Tahsildar, Bengaluru South Taluk to consider the representation of the petitioner for entering his name in the revenue records pertaining to 2 more acres of land in Sy.No.88 situated at the B.M.Kavalu Village, Kengeri Hobli, in addition to 2 acres already reflected in the RTC, pursuant to the petitioner purchasing the 2 acres of land under registered sale deed dated 27.07.1996, no action is taken by the respondent - Tahsildar to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records. 2. During the course of these proceedings, certain directions were issued to the respondent - Tahsildar and accordingly, today the learned AGA has filed a memo along with two communications made by the Tahsildar, Bengaluru South Taluk. The first one is a communication dated 22.01.2026 made by the Tahsildar to the learned AGA stating - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10913 WP No. 33491 of 2025 that the petitioner has appeared before the Tahsildar and has furnished all the requisite documents, including copy of the registered sale deed and the Tahsildar has recorded the minutes of the meeting between the Tahsildar and the petitioner in the second document. Learned AGA submits that the Tahsildar has recommended to the Deputy Commissioner the mutation entry to be made in favour of the petitioner on the strength of the registered sale deed. 3. If that is the position, the respondent - Deputy Commissioner is required to proceed to issue orders enabling the Tahsildar to enter the name of the petitioner in respect of the additional two acres of land on the strength of the registered sale deed. Two acres have already been registered in the name of the petitioner in the revenue records on the strength of the grant made to the petitioner dated 17.02.1980. Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of with a specific direction to respondent No.2-Deputy Commissioner, Bengaluru Urban District and respondent No.4-Special Tahsildar, Bengaluru South Taluk to proceed to enter the name of the petitioner in the revenue records as expeditiously as - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10913 WP No. 33491 of 2025 possible and at any rate within a period of 4 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
