The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the property, measuring 0.14.50 hectares in Survey No. 74/6A and 0.9.00 hectares in Survey No. 75/3A, is comprised in Patta No. 61 of Neikkarapatti Village, Palani Taluk, Dindigul District. The land is a patta land; however, without acquiring it, the respondents have laid a road for public use. Therefore, the petitioner seeks payment of fair compensation. 3. The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submitted that the Tahsildar, Palani, had issued proceedings in Na.Ka.No.2670/2021/Aa1 dated 09.03.2026, stating that, based on the petitioner’s application, acquisition proceedings would be initiated by the Government. Considering the above facts, this Court directs the first respondent to commence acquisition proceedings and award compensation to the petitioner in accordance with the Fair Compensation Act.
