Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that from the joint possession of the present three petitioners 602 bottles of phensedyl were recovered and on conclusion of investigation charge-sheet has been submitted and charges have already been framed. Learned advocate for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there are overwhelming materials. Having considered that the petitioners are in custody for 7 months and some time will be consumed in concluding the trial, I am inclined to release the petitioners on bail. As such, the prayer for bail of the petitioners are allowed. The petitioners, namely, Safikul Mondal, Sanjoy Ghosh and Indrajit Biswas shall be released 2 on bail upon furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- (Rupees Twenty Thousand only) each with two sureties of Rs.10,000/- each, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of the learned Judge, Special Court, under NDPS Act, Krishnagar, Nadia. If on bail, the petitioners shall be physically present on each and every date fixed by the learned trial court and shall not leave the district of Nadia without prior permission of the learned special court. Accordingly, CRM(NDPS) 278 of 2026 is allowed. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
