The petitioner has filed the present writ petition challenging the impugned order dated 04.05.2026 passed by respondent No.3 whereby the objections/claims raised by the petitioner in relation to the selection process for appointment on the post of Manager in Primary Minor Forest Produce Cooperative Society Limited, Bodla, District Kabirdham (C.G.) have been rejected and the claims/objections of respondent No.6 have been allowed. 2. Admittedly, the dispute raised by the petitioner pertains to recruitment/selection process conducted by Primary Minor Forest Produce Cooperative Society Limited, which is governed by the provisions of the Chhattisgarh Cooperative Societies Act, 1960 (for short “the Act, 1960”). The Act, 1960 provides complete mechanism for redressal of disputes arising out of affairs, management and service related matters of Cooperative Societies. Section 55(2) of the Act, 1960 provides efÏcacious alternative remedy for adjudication of such dispute. As such, the writ petition is not maintainable. 3.
Accordingly, the instant petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to file an application under Section 55(2) of the Act, 1960
3 before the competent authority raising all grievances/disputes in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4. In the event of filing such application by the petitioner under Section 55(2) of the Act, 1960 within the stipulated period, the same shall be considered and decided by the competent authority as expeditiously as possible from the date of receipt of such application, strictly in accordance with law. It is further directed that any objection with regard to limitation shall not come in the way for deciding the application filed by the petitioner and the same shall be decided on its own merits. 5. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. -
