This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29A(4) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (1996 Act) seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of one year. 2. It is stated that the arbitral proceedings in the present case pertain to an Agreement executed between the parties on 24.01.2013. Disputes having arisen, arbitration was invoked and Arbitral Tribunal was constituted by the Respondent on 11.12.2023. The Sole Arbitrator entered upon reference on 21.12.2023 and the pleadings were completed on 28.10.2024, whereafter issues were settled on the same day and matter was fixed for hearing from 11.12.2024. 3. It is further stated that in the meantime, Petitioner approached this Court under Section 11 of 1996 Act seeking reference of additional claims, This is a digitally signed order. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 24/09/2026 at 11:13:45 O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 742/2026 which was allowed and vide order dated 29.04.2025, Petitioner was permitted to refer additional claims before the Arbitrator. The Arbitrator entered into reference in respect of additional claims on 27.05.2025 and directed the Petitioner to file Statement of Claim in respect of all claims. Substantial period was consumed on the issue of express waiver under Section 12(5) from the Respondent, which was finally resolved on 12.08.2026 and the Arbitrator revised the schedule for completion of pleadings vide order dated 17.08.2026 and directed to file Statement of Claim by 10.09.2026 and further pleadings by 15.11.2026. Matter is now fixed for 30.11.2026 for settling of issues and fixing of dates for recording of evidence. Mandate of the learned Arbitrator having expired on 28.04.2026, this petition has been filed for extension of the mandate. The proceedings are at the stage of completion of pleadings, owing to the additional claims. 4. Mr. Mohit Agarwal, learned counsel appearing for the Respondent, on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the mandate being extended. 5. For the reasons stated in the petition, the same is allowed extending the mandate of the learned Arbitrator by a period of one year from 23.09.2026 and the period between 29.04.2026 and 22.09.2026 is regularized. 6.
