Affidavit-of-service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record. 2. Referring to an advocate’s letter dated 5th March, 2026 whereby certain allegations are made against the respondent no.9 being a law firm, present writ petition is filed, inter alia, praying for direction upon the concerned police authorities to register FIR. [2] 3. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that persons, who are appointed in the law firm, are also being harassed in different manner which requires thorough investigation by the concerned police authorities. 4. Mr. Amal Kumar Sen, learned Additional Advocate General appears on behalf of the State respondents and files a communication dated 24th March, 2026 of Officer-in-Charge, Girish Park Police Station, Kolkata and same is taken on record. 5. It is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that the letter dated 5th March, 2026 of an advocate was treated as FIR and same was registered and criminal prosecution was initiated being Girish Park P.S. Case No.44 dated 19th March, 2026 under Sections 319(2)/ 318(4)/61(2) of BNS. Investigating Officer has already been appointed as it appears from the FIR which is enclosed to the communication dated 24th March, 2026. 6. However, it is submitted on behalf of the State respondents that petitioner being the complainant is required to put signature at the relevant place of the FIR for setting the investigation into motion. 7. Mr. Krishnendu Bhattacharya, learned advocate representing the Bar Association, High Court, Calcutta being respondent no.5 submits that there is no role to play by the Bar Association and name of [3] respondent no.5 needs to be deleted from the array of respondents. 8. Having considered the case made out in this writ petition and taking note of the submissions made on behalf of the petitioner and the State respondents, Court finds that Bar Association, High Court, Calcutta is not a proper and necessary party in this writ petition. 9. Let name of Bar Association, High Court, Calcutta be deleted from the array of respondents by the department by seven (7) days from date. 10. Taking note of the fact that FIR has already been registered and a criminal prosecution is being initiated being Girish Park P.S. Case No.44 dated 19th March, 2026 under certain provisions of BNS, petitioner is directed to appear before the Officer-in- Charge, Girish Park Police Station, Kolkata tomorrow at 12:00 noon and put signature on the relevant part of the FIR. 11. After completion of the formalities concerned police authority is directed to take the investigation to its logical conclusion by taking all possible measures. 12. At this stage, further direction for conducting investigation under aegis of higher authority is not warranted. [4] 13. With the aforesaid observations and direction writ petition stands disposed of. 14. However, petitioner shall be at liberty to take steps, in accordance with law, if occasion so arises. 15.
