The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking directions to the Respondent No. 1 to conduct re-counting of the election votes to the Scheduled Caste (Women) category for members of the Town vending Committee-I from amongst the street vendors from ward no. 142, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 168, 169, 170, 174, 175 and 176. 4. In the opinion of this Court, such a prayer is not tenable in a writ petition. This issue would have to be raised by the Petitioner, in accordance with law, by filing an election petition. 6. Accordingly, the present petition, along with pending applications, if any, is disposed of with the direction that the Petitioner is at liberty to avail of his remedies, in accordance with law.
