ORAL ORDER
1. Sri. Shanti Bhushan, learned DSGI accepts notice of respondent No.1. 2. Notice to respondent Nos.2 to 4 is dispensed with in view of the proposed order to be passed. 3. Petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. Issue a writ of mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to cancel the Aadhar cards of the respondents 2 to 4 by considering representations dt: 17/09/2024 as per
"Annexure-F". b. Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4 to surrender the Aadhar cards to the 1st respondent forthwith.
c. Issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 2 to 4 not to use their Aadhar cards in any of the transactions pertaining to sale of sites formed by M/s. J.V.Wodeyar Infrastructure. d. Grant such other writ, order or injunction or relief that this Hon'ble Court deems fit to grant in the facts and circumstances of the case including the order as to costs;
4. Essentially, what is sought for is the cancellation of the Aadhaar cards issued by respondent No.1 to respondent Nos.2 to 4 and for surrender of the Aadhaar cards by respondent Nos.2 to 4. There is no particular provision under law entitling the petitioner to seek for such relief. - 4 -

5. An Aadhar card being issued only for the purpose of identification cannot be cancelled on the basis of a complaint or allegation made by a third party like the petitioner. If at all the petitioner has any grievance or any complaint against respondent Nos.2 to 4 as regards the various transactions entered into by them, it is always available for the petitioner to initiate such appropriate action before the appropriate forum as may be advised. 6.
