2026:UHC:2411 SL. No. Date Office Notes, reports, orders or proceedings or directions and Registrar’s order with Signatures COURT’S OR JUDGE’S ORDERS WPSS/450/2026 with WPSS/458/2026 Hon’ble Manoj Kumar Tiwari, J. Mr. Vinod Tiwari, Advocate for the petitioners. 2. Mr. Pradeep Hairiya, Standing Counsel for the State of Uttarakhand. 3. Since common questions of law and fact are involved in these petitions, therefore, they are being heard and decided together. However, for the sake of brevity and convenience, facts of WPSS No. 450 of 2026 alone are being considered and discussed. 4. Mr. Vinod Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has not been recommended for appointment to the post of Assistant Teacher, Government Primary School, even though he scored more marks than many of the candidates, who have been recommended and appointed. The relief sought in the writ petition is as follows:- “I. issue a writ or order or direction in the nature of a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding and directing the respondent authorities to appoint the petitioner on the post of Assistant Teacher (Elementary-science stream) in District Pauri under General Category mentioned at Sl. No. 188 in the eligibility list issued on 12.01.2026 (Annexure No. 2).” 2026:UHC:2411 5. Having regard to the pleadings made and relief sought, this Court thinks that ends of justice would be met if petitioners are permitted to make representation to the competent authority, highlighting their grievance. 6. Accordingly, the writ petitions are disposed of with liberty to petitioners to make representation(s) to the competent authority. If petitioners make representation(s) within ten days from today, decision thereupon shall be taken, as per law, within four weeks thereafter.
