By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking following prayers: “a) Issue a Writ of Certiorari, or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction in the nature thereof, quashing the impugned nomination/shortlist report dated 06.07.2026 forwarded by Respondent No. 2 (Indian Olympic Association) for participation in the forthcoming 20th Asian Games (Aichi- Nagoya 2026) in respect of the Men’s Under-58 kg Taekwondo (Kyorugi) event qua Respondent No. 5 who has been illegally and arbitrarily nominated over the Petitioner by violating the circular dated: 24/09/2025 & 05/03/2025 issued by Respondent No.1 for selection of athletes for Asian Games, 2026; and/or b) Issue a Writ of Mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order, This is a digitally signed order. The Order is downloaded from the DHC Server on 21/09/2026 at 11:14:25 or direction in the nature thereof, directing Respondent Nos. 1, 2, and 3 to consider and nominate the Petitioner, Abdul Wahid , to represent India in the Men's Under-58 kg Taekwondo event at the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026), in accordance with the Selection Criteria dated 24.09.2025 issued by Respondent No. 1, the qualification framework prescribed by the Asian Taekwondo Union, and the Petitioner’s performance in securing India's official MNA Quota spot at the 27th Asian Championship in Mongolia; and/or c) Issue a Writ of Mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction in the nature thereof, directing Respondent Nos. 1 and 2 to forward and substitute the name of the Petitioner in place of Respondent No. 5 in the Final Entry List by Name for the Men's Under-58 kg Taekwondo (Kyorugi) event at the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya 2026) to the concerned Organizing; and/or d) Issue Rule Nisi in terms of prayer a to c and confirm the same after hearing the parties.” 2. Having heard the learned counsels appearing for the parties, this Court directs the competent authority/respondent no.1 to treat the present petition as a representation on behalf of the petitioner and decide the same within a period of two weeks from date, under intimation to the petitioner and this Court. 3. The petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court again, in case the need so arises, by way of filing a fresh writ petition. 4. In above terms, the present petition stands disposed of. 5.
