The petitioner, above-named, who is in custody in connection with Bano [Simdega] P.S. Case No. 63 of 2024 [POCSO Case No.07 of 2025] for the offence registered under 137(2) of the BNS, 2023, has prayed for regular bail. It is submitted by the learned counsel on behalf of petitioner that the victim-girl and petitioner were known to each other. Further, the victim-girl in her statement recorded under Section 183 BNSS, 2023 has specifically stated that there was no inducement and she had left her home on her own sweet-will. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail. It is submitted that consent of a minor is inconsequential. Under the circumstances, the above-named petitioner is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Twenty- Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the Court below.
