Heard learned counsels for the parties. The petitioners claim to be the recorded owners of the land in question and allege that the concerned Panchayat and the officers of the Block Development Office have constructed a concrete road through their land. The petitioners submitted a representation in this regard before the concerned authority on 22nd December, 2025 pursuant to which the Block Development Officer, Egra-I Development Block issued notice upon the 1st petitioner requesting him to appear before him in connection therewith. Though the petitioners and others concerned appeared before the Block Development Officer on the relevant date and submitted documents pertaining to the issue, no order has been passed till date. 2 In view of the fact that the representation is still pending consideration of the Block Development Officer, being the 5th respondent herein, he is directed to consider and dispose of the same within two weeks from the date of communication of this order, in accordance with law. The decision taken by the authority shall be communicated to the parties within a week thereof. In the event the allegation made by the petitioners is substantiated, the concerned authority shall take necessary steps in accordance with law. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall, however, be no order as to costs. Since no affidavit is invited, the allegations contained in the writ petition are deemed not to have been admitted.
