In this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for the following reliefs: “(A) For issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, commanding the Respondents to forthwith create jamabandi, enter the name of the Petitioner in Register-II for rent fixation, and subsequently issue rent receipts in favour of the Petitioner for the land bearing Khata No. 1, Plot No. 147, area 2.67 acres, situated in Mouza Gapai, Thana No. 498, Circle & District Giridih, recorded as Khatyani land in the name of the great- grandfather of the Petitioner, namely Ahlad Mahto. (B) For issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction, commanding the Respondent authorities to consider and dispose of the pending representation of the Petitioner.” 3. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the land in question being khatyani land bearing Khata No. 1, Plot No. 147, 2026:JHHC:19506 2 area 2.67 acres situated in Mouza Gapai, Thana No. 498, Circle and District Giridih is recorded in the name of great-grandfather of the petitioner, namely, Ahlad Mahto. 4. It is the grievance of the petitioner that the records are not being updated and Jamabandi has not been created in the name of the petitioner. 5. The petitioner claims to be the great-grandson of Ahlad Mahto. He claims that Jamabandi be created in his name. From the records specially Annexure-2, I find that there are other co-sharers also. Thus, the land cannot be recorded in his own name. 6. The Circle Officer, Giridih should take appropriate steps on the representation of the petitioner considering whether there are other claimants or not and will pass an appropriate order to the representation of the petitioner and will communicate the decision to the petitioner, preferably within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of the copy of this order. 7.
