Case No. 79 of 2026 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 317(5), 3(5) of the B.N.S., 2023 and Section 12(1) of Jharkhand Bovine Animal Prohibition of Slaughter Act, 2025 and Sections 11(i)(D), 11(i)(E) of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation against the petitioner is that the petitioner was involved in transporting bovine animals for the purpose of their illegal slaughter by driving Tata Magic vehicle in which the bovine animals were transported. It is next submitted that the allegation against the petitioner is false. It is then submitted that the petitioner has no criminal antecedent as mentioned in para-12 of this bail application. It is next submitted that the petitioner undertakes that he will co-operate with the trial of the case and will not annoy or disturb the informant or witnesses of the case. It is lastly submitted the petitioner has been in custody since 18.05.2026 as mentioned in para-13 of the bail application and charge-sheet has been submitted. Hence it is submitted that the petitioner be released on bail. Learned Spl.P.P. opposes the prayer for bail. Considering the facts of this case, the above-named petitioner is directed to be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Rupees twenty five thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate-XXIII at Ranchi in connection with Nagri P.S. Case No. 79 of 2026 with the condition that he will co-operate with the trial of the case and furnish his mobile number and photocopy of the Aadhar Card in the court below with an undertaking that he will not change his mobile number during the trial of the case and will not annoy or disturb the informant or witnesses of the case in any manner during the trial of the case.
