The petitioner is apprehending her arrest in connection with Khunti P.S. Case No. 16 of 2024, registered for the offence under Sections 420, 467, 468, 469, 470, 471, 341, 323, 504, 506 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Khunti. 3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is one of the family members of the informant and allegations are made of selling the land more than of her share. He next submits that the petitioner is aged about 83 years and she is residing at Kolkata. He then submits that there is a partition suit going on between the parties and the informant has himself filed O.S. No. 32 of 2025, which is still pending in the court of learned Civil Judge (Jr. Div.), Khunti. On these grounds, he submits that anticipatory bail may kindly be provided to the petitioner. 4. Learned A.P.P. appearing for the State has opposed the [ 2026:JHHC:19450] -2- prayer and submits that the allegations are there of selling the land of the share of the informant that too by way of creating the forged documents. On these grounds, he submits that anticipatory bail may kindly be rejected. 5. Considering that the petitioner is one of the family members of the informant and residing at Kolkata and aged about 83 years and further the informant himself has filed a partition suit, which is still pending and the allegations are made in the FIR of selling the land more than the share of the petitioner and in the attending facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to extend the privilege of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 6. Accordingly, the above-named petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned Court within three weeks from today and in the event of her arrest or surrender, she shall be enlarged on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.25,000/- (Twenty Five Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Khunti, in connection with Khunti P.S. Case No. 16 of 2024, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023. (Sanjay Kumar Dwivedi, J.) Dated:-03.07.2026 Amitesh/-
