It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that despite having filed a representation as far back as in November, 2025, the respondent authorities have chosen not to respond to the same. In fact, the petitioner had claimed that the letter dated 4th December, 2025 issued by the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Purba Bardhaman pertains to acquisition of the premises and not compensation in respect of erection of the high voltage transmission power. After hearing the submissions made on behalf of WBSEDCL, WPA 1577 of 2026 stands 2 disposed of by directing the respondent no. 3 to consider the prayer for compensation and dispose of the same within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order. It is made clear that there has been no expression in the merits of the case and all issues are left open to be decided by the respondent no. 3 strictly in accordance with law. The respondent no. 3 is permitted to delegate or nominate any suitable representative of WBSEDCL, if so required. (Ravi Krishan Kapur, J.)
