Accused nos.2 & 3 in Crime No.201/2026 registered by K.R.Puram Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the offences punishable under Sections 351(2), 64, 351(3), 69, 89 read with 3(5) of BNS, 2023, are before this Court under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail. 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioners and the learned Addl. SPP on behalf of the respondent-State. 3. FIR in Crime No.201/2026 was registered by K.R.Puram Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the aforesaid offences against Dhanush and the petitioners herein based on the first information dated 25.03.2026 received from the alleged victim aged about 19 years. Apprehending arrest in the said case, petitioners had filed Crl. Misc. No.3154/2026 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court which was rejected on 24.04.2026. It is under these circumstances, petitioners are before this Court. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26351 CRL.P No. 6954 of 2026 4. Petitioners herein are direct sisters. Accused no.1 is the son of petitioner no.1. The allegation in the first information is that the first informant and accused no.1 got acquainted to each other in the year 2023 and they developed intimacy. Subsequently, on the promise of marrying victim girl, accused no.1 allegedly took her to different places and had sexual intercourse with her on multiple occasions. As a result, victim allegedly conceived. The allegation as against the petitioners is that they had talked to a doctor and had arranged for forcible abortion of victim's pregnancy. 5. The averments found in the first information would go to show that the victim and accused no.1 had consensual relationship for a considerable period of time and only after the same failed, allegations are made as against accused no.1 and also his relatives. Petitioners are married ladies aged about 38 years and 37 years, who are having no criminal antecedents. They have undertaken to co-operate with the police for the purpose of investigation. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26351 CRL.P No. 6954 of 2026 6. Considering the aforesaid aspects of the matter, I am of the opinion that petitioners' prayer for grant of anticipatory bail is required to be answered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following order: 7. The petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioners in the event of their arrest in Crime No.201/2026 registered by K.R.Puram Police Station, Bengaluru City, for the offences punishable under Sections 351(2), 64, 351(3), 69, 89 read with 3(5) of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: 1. The petitioners shall appear before the Investigation Officer and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- each with two sureties for the likesum to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer. 2. Petitioners shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. 3. Petitioners shall not tamper with the prosecution witness and they shall co-operate with - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26351 CRL.P No. 6954 of 2026 the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon. 4.
