This appeal is directed against the order dated 17.01.2026 passed by the learned Judicial Commissioner, Ranchi in A.B.P. No. 168/2026 in connection with Bero P.S. Case No. 48/2025, whereby and whereunder, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the appellant has been rejected.
It has been alleged that a mob of five hundred persons had surrounded the Sarna-Sthal and when the Police personnel tried to pacify them, a scuffle had taken place and some properties as well as articles were vandalized.
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that the appellant is a female and the allegations are general and omnibus in nature. It has further been submitted that in similar circumstances, one of the co-accused Basant Bhagat has been granted anticipatory bail by a Co-ordinate Bench of this Court in Cr. Appeal (DB) No. 1549 of 2025.
Learned Spl. P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant.
Regard being had to the generality of allegations levelled against the appellant and the fact that one of the

co-accused has been granted anticipatory bail as noted above, we while setting aside the order dated 17.01.2026 passed by the learned Judicial Commissioner, Ranchi in A.B.P. No. 168/2026 in connection with Bero P.S. Case No. 48/2025, direct the appellant to surrender before the learned trial court within a period of four weeks and on her surrender, she shall be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Class, Ranchi, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 482(2) of the B.N.S.S., 2023.
This appeal is allowed.
