Learned Additional Government Advocate accepts notice for respondent Nos.1 and 2. 2. The petitioner is before this Court seeking for the following reliefs: a. Issue a writ of mandamus or any order/direction in the nature of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to immediately form a committee of management in respect of the Cheluva Narayana Swamy temple in the town Melukote, Taluk Pandavapura, District Mandya and handover the administration of the said temple to such committee; and/or b. Pass such other order/s as deemed fit in the facts and circumstances of this case in the interest of justice and equity. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:25852 WP No. 1322 of 2026 3. The grievance of the petitioner is that despite several representations having been submitted, the respondents have not formed a committee for the purpose of management of the Cheluva Narayana Swamy Temple in Melukote Town, Pandavapura District, Mandya. 4. Whenever any representation is submitted, it is required for the respondents to consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a reasonable period of time either by accepting or rejecting the representation. Neither have been done in the present matter, this Court passes the following: ORDER i) Writ petition is allowed. ii) A mandamus is issued directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner and pass necessary orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:25852 WP No. 1322 of 2026 iii) It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the entitlement of the petitioner in that regard.
