2. The present petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (hereinafter referred to as 'BNSS') seeking reliefs:
“a) Allow the present Writ Petition and direct the Competent Authority to consider the name of the Petitioner for premature release in the upcoming Sentence Review Board Meeting. b) Pass such other or further order/orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit in the larger interest of justice.”
