GP FOR SERVICES II 3 The Court made the following: ORDER: The writ petition is filed challenging the proceedings dated 23.01.2025 issued by the 2nd respondent in not considering the case of the petitioner for compassionate appointment. 2. Heard Sri N. Siva Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Services-IV appearing for the respondents. 3. It is contended that the petitioner’s father, while working as Deputy Executive Engineer in Rural Water Supply and Sanitation (RWS & S) Department in Zone-III, Government of Andhra Pradesh expired on 06.08.2024 leaving behind his wife and daughter as his legal heirs. The petitioner is the eldest daughter of the deceased, who was married, and subsequently deserted by her husband and she has to take care of her entire family members and there is no earning member in the family. She, therefore, sought a compassionate appointment. Hence, the present writ petition. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner submitted an application/representation dated 18.11.2025, the respondents have not considered her request so far for appointing 4 her on compassionate grounds. He prays for a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner. 5. Considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, on perusal of the record and having regard to the submissions made and the judgments of this court on the issue, the respondents are directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 18.11.2025 and pass appropriated orders in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
