02/ 24.06.2026: By filing this writ application, the petitioners pray for following relief:
“A. For direction(s) upon the respondents to rewrite the plot no. i.e. plot no. 773, in Offline register-II, Volume-I, Page No. 152 relating to Khata No. 293, Mouza- Sanga, Anchal Kanke, Ranchi instead of Plot no. 73 which was registered in the name of ancestors of the petitioners as due to the reason that the register has become old, the Plot No. has become fade and being misread as '73' instead of '773' which is apparent from the Khatiyan and the same may potentially create cloud upon the title of the petitioners in future. B. For direction upon the respondents to make necessary corrections in Online Register-II pertaining to the land of the petitioners as instead of Khata No. 293, Khata No. 291 has been entered and total Rakba has wrongly been entered as 1 Hactare and 70 Decimals instead of only 70 Decimals? C. For direction upon the respondents to make necessary corrections in Online Register-II relating to the name of the recorded khatiyani raiyat as instead of Dukhu Mahto, 'Harvu Mahto' has wrongly been entered. D. For direction(s) upon the respondents to restore the Status-Quo as on the date prior to passing of the order in S.A.R. Case No. 47/05-06, in the Offline register-II, Volume-I, Page No. 152 relating to Khata No. 291, Plot No. 772 Mouza- Sanga, Anchal- Kanke, Ranchi as the same has been illegally struck down by the respondents without any jurisdiction. E. For declaring and holding that the alteration/modification in the offline register-II with respect to Khata No. 291, Plot no. 772, as illegal and without
jurisdiction. F. For direction upon the respondents especially to respondent no.5 for reflecting the correct position and status of Khata No. 291, Plot No. 772, Mouza-Sanga, Anchal- Kanke, Ranchi in Online register-II.”
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned counsel for the respondents. 3. It is the grievance of the petitioners that there is discrepancy in the land records maintained by the respondents.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that one of the discrepancies is that the petitioners are having only 70 decimals of land but in both offline records and online portal, it has been shown to be 1 hectare and 70 decimals of land. He also raises other points. 4. Considering the said submission, the issue needs to be looked into by the respondent No.5-Circle Officer, Kanke. Thus, I direct the petitioners to file a detailed application along with all supporting documents and a copy of this order before the respondent No.5, who will consider the application of the petitioners and pass an appropriate order. On the basis of the documents, if it is found that the record needs to be corrected, an appropriate action will be taken by the Circle Officer, Kanke. A copy of the order should also be communicated to the petitioners. 5. With the aforesaid observations and directions, this writ petition is
disposed of.
