Accordingly, without going into the merits of the rival contentions, we are of the opinion that the petition needs to be disposed of by directing the Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Thane, to decide the representations dated 21 August 2025, 8 September 2025 and 21 April 2026 (Exhibits ‘I’, ‘J’ & ‘K’ respectively) as made by the petitioner in accordance with law, after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, in any event, within a period of three weeks from today. 2.
