Accused nos.1 to 6 in Crime No.116/2026 registered by Gundlupete Police Station, Chamarajanagar District, for the offences punishable under Sections 189(2), 191(2), 191(3), 331, 118(1), 126(1), 115(2), 109, 352, 351(2), 190 of BNS, 2023, are before this Court under Section 482 of BNSS, 2023, seeking anticipatory bail. - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26282 CRL.P No. 7276 of 2026 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the parties. 3. FIR in Crime No.116/2026 was registered by Gundlupete Police Station, Chamarajanagar District, for the aforesaid offences, against the petitioners herein based on the first information dated 17.04.2026 received from Geetha.S.P. who is one of the injured in the present case. Apprehending arrest in the said case, petitioners had filed Crl. Misc. No.167/2026 before the jurisdictional Sessions Court which was rejected on 08.05.2026. Therefore, they are before this Court. 4. Perusal of the material on record would go to show that there is some serious civil dispute between the parties. The allegation in the first information is that, the incident in question had taken place on 15.04.2025 in which the accused persons allegedly after abusing the victims, had assaulted them. 5. The material on record would go to show that the alleged victims have suffered simple injuries in the incident in question. The medical records of the victim would go to show that they had given history of incident that had taken place on - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26282 CRL.P No. 7276 of 2026 13.04.2026, whereas in the first information it is stated that the incident in question had taken place on 15.04.2026. Even otherwise, the first information is filed in the present case on 17.04.2026. Under the circumstances, I am of the opinion that the petitioners' prayer for grant of anticipatory bail is required to be answered affirmatively. Accordingly, the following order: 6. The petition is allowed. The respondent - Police or any other police in the State of Karnataka are directed to release the petitioners in the event of their arrest in Crime No.116/2026 registered by Gundlupete Police Station, Chamarajanagar District, for the offences punishable under Sections 189(2), 191(2), 191(3), 331, 118(1), 126(1), 115(2), 109, 352, 351(2), 190 of BNS, 2023, subject to the following conditions: 1. The Petitioners shall appear before the Investigating Officer within 15 days from the date of receipt of the copy of this order and shall execute a personal bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- each with one surety for the likesum to the satisfaction of the investigating officer. - 5 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:26282 CRL.P No. 7276 of 2026 2. Petitioners shall regularly appear before the Trial Court without fail unless exempted by the Trial Court for valid reasons. 3. Petitioners shall not tamper with the prosecution witness and they shall co-operate with the police for investigation and appear before them whenever called upon. 4.
