This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner to get her name changed in the School records and educational certificate including Matriculation Certificate issued by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in respect of her daughter namely Shreya Kumari, having Roll No.22314571. 3. It is an admitted case that Shreya Kumari, from Holy 2026:JHHC:18339 2 Cross School, Pachamba, Giridih, Jharkhand, appeared in the Secondary School Examination, 2025, conducted by the CBSE. 4. It is the case of the petitioner that in the Matriculation Certificate of her daughter, issued by the CBSC, the name of petitioner at the place of Mother’s Name has been written as “Pinky Das”, but actually her name is “Gudiya Das”. 5. A representation was filed by the petitioner to change her name, but the respondents are not taking step to correct the same. 6. Today when the matter is taken up, learned counsel representing the respondent – CBSE, produced a communication between the CBSE and the counsel which took place through e-mail dated 11th June, 2026. 7. From the e-mail, it is clear that the CBSE has indicated that if a fresh request is submitted annexing all necessary documents, the case of the petitioner can be considered. A copy of the aforesaid communication dated 11th June, 2026, is hereby kept on record. 8. Considering the aforesaid, I direct the petitioner to file a fresh application before the CBSE, within four weeks from today, annexing all the documents especially the documents which would prove that actual name of this petitioner is “Gudiya Das”, and Shreya Kumari is daughter of Gudiya Das. 9. Once the said application is filed by the petitioner annexing all the documents, the respondent – CBSE will take a decision considering the documents which will be filed along with the said application and if it is prima facie established that due to error, 2026:JHHC:18339 3 the name of this petitioner in the School records and educational certificate including mark-sheet-cum-certificate of Secondary School Examination, 2025, of her daughter namely Shreya Kumari, has been wrongly entered, necessary corrections must be made. 10. The entire process should be concluded within a period of six weeks, from the date of filing of application along with copy of this order. 11.
