According to the prosecution, on 25.02.2026, the Officer-in- Charge, Police Station Basna, acting on confidential information, intercepted two trucks bearing Nos. CG-04-JC- 4585 and CG-07-AV-5290 near Basna Krishi Upaj Mandi carrying sponge iron along with Tax Invoices Nos. JB1/745 and JB1/744 dated 24.02.2026, purportedly issued by M/s Jai Bhole Ispat, Raigarh in favour of M/s Shri Bajrang Bali Enterprises, Raipur. On the allegation that the drivers failed to produce weighment slips and that one invoice allegedly did not contain the E-way Bill number, the offences as mentioned above have been registered against the present Applicant. Hence, this application. 3. Learned counsel for the Applicant submits that the Applicant is innocent and has been falsely implicated in the present case. It is contended that name of the present Applicant does not find place in the FIR and and co-accused Abdul salim has already been granted anticipatory bail by this Court vide order dated 24.04.2026 passed in M.Cr.C(A) No.619/2026. Lastly, it is submitted that trial is likely to take considerable time for 3 its conclusion, therefore, as the present Applicant is similarly situated, he may also be extended the benefit of anticipatory bail. 4. Learned counsel for the State opposed the prayer for anticipatory bail. 5. Having heard learned Counsel for the parties, having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and that co-accused Abdul Salim has already been granted anticipatory bail by this Court vide order dated 24.04.2026 passed in M.Cr.C(A) No.619/2026 and the trial may take quite some time for its conclusion, this Court is inclined to allow the anticipatory bail application. 6. Accordingly, the instant MCRCA is allowed and it is directed that in the event of arrest of the Applicant – Amit Kumar Agrawal, on executing a personal bond and one surety in the like sum to the satisfaction of the arresting Officer, he shall be released on bail on the following conditions:- (a) The applicant/s shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case so as to dissuade her/him/them from disclosing such fact to the Court. (b) The applicant/s shall not act in any manner which will be prejudicial to fair and expeditious trial. (c) The applicant/s shall appear before the trial Court on each and every date given to her/him/them by the said Court till disposal of the trial. 4 (d) The applicant/s and the surety shall submit a copy of his adhaar card along with a coloured postcard full size photo having printed the adhaar number on it, which shall be verified by the trial Court.
