1. This is an ofÏce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 04.09.2025 passed in MCRC No. 5222 of 2025, while allowing the bail of the petitioners, namely, Dheeraj, KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN
2 Pushpesh Indaura and Shiva Kumar had expressed its trust that the trial Court would make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of that order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Raigarh District-Raigarh (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 22.04.2026 has requested for grant of three months time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD that arrest warrants against the accused persons have already been issued and continuous efforts are being made to secure their presence during the course of trial. It has further revealed that memorandums are being issued through the Superintendent of Police for ensuring service of summons/warrants upon the prosecution witnesses on priority basis. The trial Court has also expressed that there is every likelihood of disposal of the case within a period of 03 months and therefore, has sought extension of further 03 months’ time for conclusion of the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of three months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/- (Ramesh Sinha)
