THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND & THE HON’BLE SMT JUSTICE KIRANMAYEE MANDAVA
CONTEMPT CASE No.268 of 2019 ORDER:(Per Hon’ble Sri Justice Battu Devanand)
This Contempt Case has been filed complaining the willful disobedience of the respondents in implementing the order dated 24.01.2018 in W.P.No.1956 of 2018 passed by the Division Bench of this Court. 2.
While allowing the said Writ Petition, this Court directed the respondent No.1 therein to decide the petitioners’ representation in the light of the order passed by this Court in W.P.No.24377 of 2007 which was confirmed in W.A.No.782 of 2010 and as per the order dated 19.09.2017 passed in W.P.No.27217 of 2017 within a period of two (02) months from the date of receipt of representation and to communicate the decision to the petitioners in writing, within one week thereafter. 3. During the course of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that in compliance of the said order, the respondent No.1 therein has rejected the claim of the petitioners and the said decision was challenged again in W.P.No.30585 of 2025 and as such, nothing survives in the present Contempt Case. 4. Mr. C.Sumon, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No.1 also endorsed the same. 4
5. In view of the above factual position, in our considered view, no further adjudication is required in the present Contempt Case. 6. Accordingly, the Contempt Case is closed. 7. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed. __________________________ JUSTICE BATTU DEVANAND
