This appeal is directed against the order dated 24.02.2026 passed in Misc. Criminal Application No. 155 of 2026 arising out of Chandwa P. S. Case No. 20 of 2020 corresponding to G. R. No. 217 of 2020 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge II, Latehar whereby and whereunder the prayer for bail of the appellant has been rejected. It has been alleged that on an information that a meeting of the extremists is going to be held in Hesajharia forest, a raid was conducted by the police and one Jalendhar @ Jagdhari Ganjhu was apprehended with arms and ammunition. Several arms and ammunitions were recovered from the place of occurrence. -2-
Submission has been advanced by the learned counsel for the appellant that he has been implicated on the confession of Jalendhar @ Jagdhari Ganjhu who has already been granted bail by this court in B. A. No. 7804 of 2020. Learned counsel has further submitted that he is in custody since 04.10.2025. Learned A.P.P. for the State has opposed the prayer for bail of the appellant. Regard being had to the manner of implication of the appellant and the fact that the main accused has been granted bail as noted above, we while setting aside the order dated 24.02.2026 passed in Misc. Criminal Application No. 155 of 2026 by the learned Additional Sessions Judge II, Latehar, direct that the appellant above named be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.

No. 45 of 2026 arising out of Chandwa P. S. Case No. 20 of 2020 corresponding to G. R. No. 217 of 2020. This appeal is allowed. (Rongon Mukhopadhyay, J.)
