1. The present petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the
order dated 23rd July, 2026, passed by this Court in W.P.(C) 6568/2026, whereby, the New Delhi Municipal Council (“NDMC”) was directed to decide the petitioner’s application for repair and renovation of the property bearing no. E-27/4 (Ground Floor), Middle Circle, Connaught Place, New Delhi–110001, by passing a reasoned order, within two weeks.
2. Today, learned counsel appearing for the respondent NDMC has handed over to this Court an order dated 16th September, 2026. This is a digitally signed order. 3. He submits that the said order is a Speaking Order that has been passed pursuant to the directions in the order dated 23rd July, 2026, as aforesaid. The Speaking Order dated 16th September, 2026, is taken on record.
4. Per contra, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner disputes the aforesaid submission and submits that the purported order dated 16th September, 2026, passed by the respondent NDMC is not a Speaking Order in terms of the directions passed by this Court.
5. That be the case, if the petitioner is aggrieved by the Speaking Order passed by the respondent-NDMC, the petitioner is at liberty to seek remedies, in accordance with law.
6. Noting the aforesaid, the present petition is accordingly, disposed of.
