This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29(A)(4) and (5) of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of mandate of the Sole Arbitrator by twelve months, reckoned from 04.08.2026. 2. It is stated that the present arbitral proceedings have their genesis in a Distributorship Agreement executed and signed between the Petitioner and Respondent, whereby Respondent was allegedly appointed as a Distributor of the products of the Petitioner. Disputes having arisen between the parties, Petitioner filed ARB.P. 769/2024 and this Court vide order dated 19.09.2024, appointed the Sole Arbitrator. The arbitral proceedings are at the stage of final arguments. Therefore, the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator is extended by a period of seven months from 05.08.2026. 5.
