This petition is filed on behalf of the Petitioner under Section 29(A)(5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (1996 Act) seeking extension of the mandate of the Sole Arbitrator for a period of six months till 12.02.2027. 2. It is stated that the arbitral proceedings pertain to a License Agreement dated 18.06.2020 under which Petitioner licensed 415 episodes of the programme ‘Surabhi’ to the Respondent for re-telecast on Doordarshan platforms for three years. As per the Petitioner, he delivered the content and Respondent commenced telecast from 06.07.2020 but failed to pay any license fee despite repeated reminders and legal notice. 3. In this backdrop, extension of the mandate is sought for a period of six months. 4. Issue notice. 5. Ms. Vertika Sharma, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the Respondent and on instructions, submits that Respondent has no objection to the mandate being extended. 6. For the reasons stated in the petition, the same is allowed extending the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by a period of six months from 13.08.2026. 7.
