POONACHA ORAL JUDGMENT (PER: HON'BLE MR. VIBHU BAKHRU, CHIEF JUSTICE) 1. For the reasons stated in the application - I.A.2/2025, the same is allowed. The delay in filing the appeal is condoned. 2. The appellant has filed the present appeal impugning an order dated 23.01.2025 passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court in WP.No.36383/2017 (GM-RES). The appellant had filed the said petition, inter alia, questioning the jurisdiction of the State Information Commission to entertain an appeal against the decision of the Appellate Authority, which in turn was preferred against the - 3 - HC-KAR NC: 2026:KHC:10832-DB WA No. 449 of 2025 order of the Information Officer, denying the information sought by respondent No.2. 3. It is the appellant's case that the Kaveri Grameena Bank is not a public authority and therefore was not required to provide any information as sought. This is precisely one of the questions which is raised by the appellant before the State Information Commission. In this view, the learned Single Judge declined to entertain the said petition, as it was open for the appellant to agitate the issue of maintainability before the State Information Commission. 4.
