This application has been filed by the respondent, praying that the above petition be taken up for hearing today itself as the missing girl has been recovered and is being produced before us in Court. 2. This petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 [“BNSS”], for issuance of a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for production of the minor daughter of the petitioner. 5. In the petition, it was alleged that the minor daughter of the petitioner, Ms. A has been missing along with her friend Ms. M, who is also a minor, since 25.03.2026. 6. Today, the respondent has produced Ms. A and Ms. M before us. 7. Mr. Sanjay Lao, the learned Senior Counsel appearing on behalf of the State, hands over a copy of the Status Report dated 17.09.2026, which states that these girls were recovered from Sitapura, Jaipur, Rajasthan by a team of the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, West District. They were then produced before the learned JMFC, Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi on 03.09.2026, and their statements under Section 183 of the BNSS were recorded. They were later produced before the Child Welfare Committee-I, Nirmal Chhaya Complex, Jail Road, Hari Nagar, New Delhi [“CWC”] on 07.09.2026 along with the medical reports and statements recorded before the learned JMFC. The learned CWC directed that Ms. A be sent to the Kilkari Rainbow Home for Girls, Kashmere Gate, Delhi, while Ms. M be sent to the Rescue Foundation Kanjhawala, Delhi for further counselling.
