CORAM:
HON’BLE MISS JUSTICE SAVITRI RATHO
ORDER 12.02.2026
Order No.
01.
(Through hybrid mode)
1. This CRLMP has been filed for a direction to the Opposite Parties No.2 to 5 to register the FIR and investigate into the matter in its proper prospective and to direct proper action against the miscreants named in the FIR.
2. The Petitioner claims to be the President of the newly elected Narasinghpur Bar Association pursuant to elections which took place on 29.03.2025.
3. After hearing Mr. A.K. Meher, learned counsel for the Petitioner and perusing the averments in the CRLMP, it appears that there is a dispute between the Mr. Amiya Ranjan Panda, Ex- Secretary and Mr. Saroj Kumar Sahoo, Ex-President of the Narasinghpur Bar Association. It is the allegation of the Petitioner p. 2 puspa that a fake association without any authority has been formed by these persons after resigning from the Narasinghpur Bar Association. Complaints/ representations in this regard have been submitted to the Police authorities as well as the Chairman of the Odisha State Bar Council (in short ‘OSBC’).
4. As this appears to be a dispute between the Advocates of Narasinghpur Bar Association, I am not inclined to issue any direction to the Police at this stage to register any case, with the expectation that the matter will be sorted out the Advocates amicably with the intervention of the Chairman/Members of the OSBC. As the allegations pertain to the conduct and reputation of the Advocates concerned, it is expected that the Chairman of the OSBC will take expeditious steps to resolve the dispute.
5. With the above observations, the CRLMP is disposed of.
6. Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
