By this petition, petitioners herein have challenged order dated 29.06.2026 issued by respondent No. 3- Member Secretary, J&K Pollution Control Committee, whereby the petitioners have been denied the consent to operate their stone crusher. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the stone crusher has been closed without even permitting the petitioners to take out their valuable belongings/items. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners herein would feel satisfied, in case the present writ petition is treated as representation and disposed of at this stage, thereby directing the respondents to accord consideration to the representation, strictly in conformity with the rules and as per law within a reasonable time period. 4. Be that as it may, the instant petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to treat the writ petition as a representation and consider the claim of the petitioners within a period of four weeks from the date a copy of the writ petition along with the annexures is received by them, by passing a reasoned and speaking order in accordance with law. 5. In the meantime, the respondents are directed to permit the petitioners to remove their valuable belongings/items from the premises in the presence of an officer/official deputed by respondent No. 5. 6.
