THE COURT: Matter is heard in presence of the learned Advocates representing petitioner, respondent no.3 and respondents no.5 and 6. 2. From the submissions made on behalf of the parties and taking note of the prayer couched in the writ petition, it appears that grievance of the petitioner is inaction on the part of the concerned police authority in not registering FIR based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner. 3. Learned Advocate representing the Officer-in-Charge, Posta Police Station, being respondent no.4, has filed a communication dated April 20, 2026 of respondent no.4 and the same is taken on record. Copy of the said communication dated 2 April 20, 2026 is made over to the learned Advocates representing petitioner and respondents no.5 and 6. 4. It is disclosed in the communication dated April 20, 2026 that based on the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a criminal prosecution was initiated being Posta Police Station Case No.33, dated April 8, 2026 under certain provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita 2023. 5. Considering that the grievance of the petitioner since stands redressed as the complaint of the petitioner has been transformed into an FIR, the writ petition stands disposed of. However, this order shall not preclude the petitioner to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate, if occasion so arises in future. (SAUGATA BHATTACHARYYA, J) tk
