Petitioner has filed this petition seeking following relief (s) :- “10.1 Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondent authorities to release the balance amount of General Provident Fund (GPF) payable to the petitioner’s deceased father, including the GPF contribution pertaining to the period of service rendered as Lower Division Teacher, along with all consequential benefits, forthwith. 10.2 Issue an appropriate writ, order or direction directing the respondents to pay interest on the delayed payment of the GPF amount, at a rate of 18% from the date the amount became due till the date of actual payment. 10.3 To kindly make any other order that may be deemed fit and just in the facts and circumstances of the case including awarding of the costs to the petitioner.” 2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that father of petitioner was employee of respondent/State. Father of petitioner after attaining the age of superannuation retired from service while working on the post of Assistant Teacher. He contended that according to claim of petitioner, appropriate amount towards GPF due to father of petitioner was not disbursed. Petitioner has submitted representation before the respondent No.3, however, till date no decision has been taken on the claim of petitioner. 3. Learned State counsel submits that according to her instructions, claim of petitioner is very old of 1978 to 84, therefore, it is taking time in 3 search for the documents with regard to service record. After collecting the documents it will be forwarded to the office of respondent No.3. 4. Learned counsel for respondent No.3 submits that according to his instruction after retirement of father of petitioner, authorization letter for a sum of Rs.14,80,316/- were issued. He further submits that if the State forwards some documents, it will be verified and appropriate decision will be taken. 5. On due consideration on the submission of learned counsel for petitioner, this writ petition at this stage is disposed of directing respondents/State to collect the documents relating to service record of father of petitioner within period of three months and thereafter to forward the respondent No.3. Respondent No.3 is further directed to verify the documents to be received from the office of respondents/State and to take decision on the claim of petitioner thereafter within further period of eight weeks. 6.
