DATE : 13.10.2026 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.
2. The contention of the petitioner is that he was serving at Shri Gurudeo Ashram School, Mhasona, District Amravati, and superannuated from service on 31.03.2026. The management submitted a proposal dated 22.07.2026 seeking grant of provisional pension to the petitioner. A copy of the said proposal, submitted to respondent No. 3 – the Project Officer, Integrated Tribal Development Project, Amravati, is at record page No. 19 (Annexure-D).
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that, though the petitioner retired from service on 31.03.2026, almost seven months have lapsed, and the petitioner has not received any salary or pension during this period. It is further submitted that, as the processing of the petitioner’s regular pension case is likely to take time, the management submitted a proposal for grant of provisional pension. However, respondent No. 3 has
111.WP.8551.2026 2/2 not yet taken a decision on the said proposal, compelling the petitioner to approach this Court.
4. In view of the above, and since an innocuous prayer is being made by the petitioner, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent Nos. 2 and 3 to decide the proposal dated 22nd July, 2026, seeking grant of provisional pension to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of production of a copy of this order.
5. The petitioner undertakes to produce a copy of this order before respondent Nos. 2 and 3 within a period of one week from today. The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date of such decision.
6. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs.
