The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent no.1/MCD to correct the name of the petitioner from “Kanti Devi” to her correct name “Sunita” in the date of birth certificate of her son “Shiva”. 3. Counsel for respondent no.1/MCD appears on advance notice and submits that a communication has been sent to the petitioner on 7th September, 2026, in terms of which the process of correction in the birth certificate is to be conducted entirely online.
