GP FOR HOME The Court made the following ORDER: The Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- “…to issue a writ in the nature of a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, direction, order or orders declaring the action of the respondents No. 2 to 5 herein in not investigating into the man missing case vide Crime No.28/2026 of Vakadu PS on 13-03-2026 based the written complaint submitted by the petitioner on 13-03-2026 requesting to on search his son Mangapathi Sai Kumar who disappeared from 12-03-2026 at 9 am onwards, despite he suspicious that the 6TH respondent herein will eliminated his son as wholly arbitrary, illegal and without jurisdiction and void and violated the principles of natural justice and affected his rights guaranteed under article 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently, direct the respondents 2 to 5 herein to conduct investigation of man missing Crime No.28/2026 of Vakadu PS dt. 13-03-2026 to trace out his son Sai Kumar by taking action against the 6TH respondent who called his son for numerous times from 14-02-2026 till his missing ie., 12-03-2026 and pass….” 2. Heard the learnedcounsel for the Petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader. 3. Mr. V. Eswaraiah Chowdary, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the son of the petitioner was found missing and has not been traced so far. A case has been registered in Crime No. 28 of 2026 at Vakadu Police Station. It is further submitted that Respondent No. 6 is suspected in this regard and that she might have played a rolewith regard to missing of son of the petitioner. 4. Sri P. Ajay Babu, learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submits that, pursuant to the complaint lodged by the petitioner, a case in Crime No. 28 of 2026 was registered under the head “Man Missing.” In the course of investigation, the Investigating Officer collected CCTV footage, 3 which revealed that the petitioner’s son parked his two-wheeler within the premises of the railway station and boarded a train bound for Chennai. The investigation is still in progress, and some more time is required. The Investigating Officer will be in a position to file the investigation report thereafter. 5. The case in Cr.No.28 of 2026 was lodged only on 30.03.2026and not even one month completed. The police are required to take some breathing time to complete the investigation and file appropriate proceedings before the learned Jurisdictional Magistrate. 6. Considering the entire facts and circumstances of the case and recording the submissions of the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the Respondent No.5to expedite process of the investigation and to give logical conclusion to the FIR No.28 of 2026 in accordance with law. 7. In the result, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, Miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed. _________________________ DR. Y.
