Order 23/02/2026 The instant petition appears to have been filed beyond the prescribed period of limitation of one year, as stipulated under Section 20 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971. The impugned order was passed in S.B. Civil Writ Petition No.36/2001 dated 01.04.2009 against the order in D.B. Civil Special No.22/2010 was preferred, however, the same was
[2026:RJ-JP:8276] (2 of 2) [CCP-1348/2025] dismissed as withdrawn vide order dated 27.01.2010. The subsequent review petition filed on behalf of the respondents cannot be a reason for condoning the delay in filing the contempt petition and also not a ground for seeking relief as against the
order dated 01.04.2009. Also, in the meantime, no stay was in operation, therefore, in view of the above, the civil contempt petition is dismissed.
