1. The petitioner is one of the accused in FIR No. 69/2007, dated 08.10.2007, registered at Police Station Special Cell, Delhi, under Sections 384/506/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 [“IPC”]. He has moved the Revisional Court against an order dated 10.04.2015, by which the Magistrate’s Court framed charges against him under Sections 387/419/420/467/468/471/474/120B of the IPC.
2. The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, inter alia seeking a direction This is a digitally signed order. 3. Ms. Nandita Rao, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner, submits that the revision petition has been listed before the learned Revisional Court on several occasions, but long adjournments have been granted at the request of the prosecution.
4. Mr. Tarang Srivastava, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, assures the Court that the prosecution will not seek unnecessary adjournments, and will cooperate in the expeditious disposal of the revision petition.
5. Accordingly, the petition, alongwith pending application, is
disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the learned Revisional Court for expeditious hearing.
6. The learned Revisional Court is requested to consider the same, having regard to the position of its Board and the age of matters pending before it.
