On 18.08.2023, a dispute arose when the Petitioner/Rekha allegedly reached the plot with certain persons and labourers, resulting in a confrontation. Both parties initiated proceedings against each other, including civil proceedings and complaints under Section 156(3) Cr.P.C. Pursuant to the directions on Respondent No. 2’s complaint, FIR No. 218/2024 dated 21.06.2024 was registered at PS Karawal Nagar. On 20.05.2025, the parties entered into a Settlement Agreement, whereby they agreed to amicably resolve their disputes and withdraw the pending civil and criminal proceedings and to seek quashing of the FIR. 6. On a query made by this Court, respondent no. 2 who has been identified by the IO, has categorically stated that she has entered into compromise, vide Settlement Agreements dated 20.05.2025, out of his own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed. 7. In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question. 8. Accordingly, FIR No. 218/2024, registered at Police Station Karawal Nagar, Delhi, for the offences punishable under Sections 420/467/468/471/120B/34 of the IPC, 1860, along with all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom, is hereby quashed. 9.
