2 SB- Hon'ble Shri Justice Amitendra Kishore Prasad Order On Board 24.03.2026
1. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had challenged the no-confidence motion passed against him.
2. It is submitted that during pendency of the present petition, by efflux of time, the term of the concerned Gram Panchayat has come to an end and a new elected body of the Gram Panchayat has already come into operation.
3. In view of the aforesaid subsequent development, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the grievance raised in the present petition no longer survives for consideration and the petition has become infructuous.
4. Considering the submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner and taking note of the fact that the tenure of the earlier Gram Panchayat has expired and a new body has already assumed office, no effective adjudication survives in the present matter.
5. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as having become infructuous.
