The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the petitioners were convicted by the learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Virudhunagar, for offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 341, 307 read with 149 of the IPC in S.C. No. 55 of 2024 dated 20.04.2026. Thereafter, the petitioners filed an appeal in C.A. No. 156 of 2026 before the learned District and Sessions Judge, Srivilliputhur, which is still pending. In the meantime, the petitioners filed a petition for suspension of imprisonment pending appeal and for bail before the learned Principal Sessions Judge, Virudhunagar District, Srivilliputhur. However, the learned counsel submitted that the Assistant Sessions Judge, Virudhunagar, is on leave, and therefore, the petitioners could not execute the sureties. Hence, they requested that the bail conditions be modified. 3. Heard the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondents. 4. Considering the reasons stated by the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court is inclined to modify the order in Crl.M.P.No,1244 of 2026 in Crl.A.No.156 of 2026 dated 30.04.2026 to the effect that Satisfaction Court as learned Judicial Magistrate No.1. Virudhunagar instead of learned Assistant Sessions Judge, Virudhunagar.
