These contempt petitions are filed alleging willful disobedience of order dated 05.09.2024 passed in WPS No.1898 of 2018 (Dr. D. Meshram Vs. State of Chhattisgarh & Ors.) and other connected writ petitions. 2. During course of argument on the last date of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners made submission that respondents have not published the gradation list after fixing seniority of petitioners at appropriate place. 3. Learned counsel for the respondents made categorical statement before this Court that, gradation list as on 01.04.2023 is published and it was enclosed along with covering letter dated 06.01.2026 of the Commissioner, Higher Education. On the last date of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners have made submission that entire gradation list was not handed over and accordingly case was posted for today. 5 / 5 4. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that along with covering memo, he has filed covering letter along with entire gradation list and has also placed before Court in a separate piece of paper showing name of petitioners at particular serial numbers. 5. Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that gradation list does not bear signature of any of authority. 6. On this submission of learned counsel for the petitioners, learned counsel for the respondents submits that along with gradation list, petitioners were also handed over covering letter which is issued under signature of Commissioner, Higher Education as also Assistant Director, Higher Education. 7. In the aforementioned facts of case, I am of the view that respondents have published the gradation list as on 01.04.2023 in compliance of order passed in writ petition fixing seniority of petitioners. Therefore, I am not inclined to proceed further in the matter. 8. Contempt proceeding initiated against respondents is accordingly dropped. Notice issued to respondents stand discharged. 9. Contempt Petitions are accordingly closed. 10. If the petitioners are aggrieved in any manner, they are having liberty to take recourse to remedy available to them under law.
